Meet Our EMDR Clinicians

Finding the right therapist matters

Beginning therapy can feel vulnerable.

One of the questions we hear most often is:

“How do I know who to choose?”

At EMDR Wisconsin and Lakeside Counseling Center, we believe finding the right therapist is about more than availability or credentials. It is about finding someone whose approach, personality, experience, and areas of focus feel aligned with what you are hoping for.

Our clinicians provide virtual EMDR therapy throughout Wisconsin and in person EMDR therapy in Madison and Eau Claire for children, adolescents, and adults.

Whether this is your first experience with therapy or you are returning after time away, we are here to help make the process feel approachable.

Creating greater access to meaningful mental health care

EMDR Wisconsin was created by Katie Lindskog as an extension of Lakeside Counseling Center’s mission to expand access to thoughtful, high quality mental health care across Wisconsin.

Katie earned her Master’s degree in Counseling in 2005 and has spent her career working across a wide range of settings as both a therapist and school counselor. Her experiences supporting individuals and families in Chicago Public Schools, Barcelona, Spain, and rural Wisconsin shaped a common realization: regardless of location or circumstance, access to quality mental health care remains one of the greatest challenges people face.

That understanding became the foundation for building Lakeside Counseling Center and later EMDR Wisconsin.

Today, Katie’s work focuses on increasing access to specialized EMDR services while supporting clinicians in building confidence, growing sustainable practices, and strengthening the communities they serve.

Katie is an EMDR Certified Therapist and EMDR Consultant in Training and offers consultation to therapists looking to deepen their EMDR work, strengthen case conceptualization skills, and continue integrating EMDR into clinical practice in ways that feel practical, connected, and sustainable.

Her consultation approach emphasizes reflection, collaboration, thoughtful clinical decision making, and creating space for therapists to grow with both confidence and authenticity.

Not sure where to begin?

You do not need to know exactly what type of therapy you need.

Many people begin by identifying with experiences rather than diagnoses.

You might relate to:

  • I feel anxious and overwhelmed

  • I feel emotionally disconnected

  • I have experienced trauma

  • I struggle with depression

  • I want support for my child or teenager

  • I feel burned out and exhausted

  • I want to feel more present in my relationships

  • I am looking for support during pregnancy or postpartum

  • I am not sure what I need but I know something feels hard

If that sounds familiar, our intake team can help connect you with someone who feels like a good fit.
